Hoveton Wetlands Restoration LIFE+ project is generously supported by the European Union LIFE+ Nature and Biodiversity Programme. Bringing the Broads back to LIFE: LIFE14NAT/UK/000054.

Natura 2000 - Europe's nature for you. The sites benefitting from this project are part of the European Natura 2000 Network. They have been designated because they host some of Europe's most threatened species and habitats. All 27 countries of the EU are working together through the Natura 2000 network to safeguard Europe's rich and diverse natural heritage for the benefit of all.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest dedicated funder of heritage in the UK. We believe that understanding, valuing and sharing our heritage brings people together, inspires pride in communities and boosts investment in local economies.

Hoveton Great Broad is one of the largest yet most secret lakes in The Broads. It’s a key part of an internationally-important wetland landscape created entirely by man!

No dogs except for Assistance dogs are permitted on the trail or the moorings.

All photographic images of flora and fauna on the website have been captured by the Hoveton Great Broad Restoration Project Team and the National Nature Reserve Wardens.
